| Event Description | When Michelle and Graham Roberts take to the streets of London for the 2010 Virgin London Marathon, they'll be doing something that they've waited 8 years for the opportunity to do. Michelle takes up the story. "Our daughter Chloe was involved in a road traffic accident when she was 13 and had to undergo emergency surgery to remove a blood clot to the brain. She spent a week in the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit and also the Paediatric Neurosurgery Ward where the care and kindness she received from the staff was second to none and we really can't thank them enough. "It is due to them that Chloe made a full recovery and is now studying at University. We are running the marathon to try and give a little back to the unit and to hopefully help other families and just say thank you! The staff were not only caring for Chloe but were all so supportive and kind to the rest of our family too!" Michelle and Graham will soon have an online fundraising page set up, and will be grateful for any donations in support of their marathon quest. Please check back here soon for a link to that page. |
